On Purpose
Ottawa County has one of the oldest populations in the state - more than 36% over the age of 60. Around 40% of senior citizens live alone and many are living in poverty.

We host this meal for our community in order to provide a consistent format to build relationships, share information and develop a healthier lifestyle

We want to provide a welcoming, loving and safe environment that promotes trust and healing for our neighbors.

Eliminating the hunger for
healthy relationships (loneliness) is

In the Name of Jesus
If you read about Jesus in the Gospels, you will find many times where he intentionally gathered around a table with people from varying walks of life.
Jesus is famous for teaching his followers to "Love one another" (John 13:34). One of the many ways he showed us how to do that is through the simple act of breaking bread together.
